3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Daniel Lynch left Wednesday's start versus the Cleveland Indians after being struck by a comeback line drive off of his right arm. The 24-year-old took a line drive off the bat of Indians catcher Austin Hedges in the top of the fourth inning. Lynch finished with an official line of seven hits, two walks, and four earned runs while striking out two across three innings before exiting. More information should be available after the game, but it's safe to say Wednesday was the final appearance for the left-hander this season.--Patrick Doris
