4 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones drew mixed results from head coach Joe Judge in a phone call with NFL Media Reporter Kim Jones. Judge said Jones, "obviously [...] has a skill set to work with. He throws a good, accurate ball, has good arm strength." But then he added, "There are some things he has to improve on. I'm not going to get into a full assessment right here, criticizing him in public just yet, but I would just say he's got a skill set." It wasn't glowing praise, but it definitely sounds like Judge sees potential in the team's 2019 first-round pick. Judge added, "I've been more impressed with the way he's worked off the field than anything else right now." Jones will enter the season with a solid grasp of the starting role and little else in the QB room behind him, but it seems clear that his coach will hold him accountable and expects more in his sophomore season.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
