Daniel Johnson Signs Minor-League Deal
2 years agoThe San Diego Padres have signed outfielder Daniel Johnson to a minor-league deal. The 27-year-old was once a highly regarded prospect in the Cleveland Guardians farm system. Sadly, Johnson hasn't been given much of a chance to show what he can do at the big league level. In 2021, Johnson hit .202/.245/.337 with four homers in 30 games with Cleveland. Since then, Johnson spent time with the New York Mets and Washington Nationals minor league system. This appears to be a move to add outfield depth, so fantasy managers can continue to avoid Johnson. It's unlikely that he makes the big league roster to begin the season.
