Daniel Hudson To Miss Extended Time With Sprained Knee
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Daniel Hudson (knee) is dealing with a sprained MCL in his right knee and will be out "quite some time," according to manager Dave Roberts. It's not the same knee that Hudson already had surgery on to fix a torn ACL. The veteran right-hander picked up his first save of the season on Wednesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates in just his third appearance of 2023, but he could now be out well into the second half of the season for the Blue. It's bad news for the Dodgers bullpen, especially with setup man Brusdar Graterol currently nursing an arm injury. Evan Phillips will continue to serve as LA's primary closer, but he was unavailable on Wednesday due to a recent heavy workload. Those that recently picked up Hudson can probably send him right back to the waiver wire.
