3 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Daniel Hudson (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list. The veteran had an MRI on Friday, which revealed right elbow inflammation. While Hudson is a two-time Tommy John recipient, manager Dave Martinez indicated that the issue is in the "back of the elbow," so the team isn't overly concerned, primarily since that area isn't the usual spot where a player would need to undergo such an invasive procedure. The 34-year-old has played well this season, currently maintaining a 2.59 ERA and a 4-1 record, with 12 holds, throughout 23 games.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
