Daniel Hudson Making Progress
3 years agoSan Diego Padres relief pitcher Daniel Hudson (illness) participated in a bullpen session on Saturday. It marked the first time that the 34-year-old has thrown at Petco Park with his new team since being dealt by the Washington Nationals at the trade deadline. Hudson has been out because of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and has been isolated to a hotel room across the street from the stadium since his arrival in California on Sunday. The right-hander owns a 2.20 ERA throughout 31 appearances this season, compiling 48 strikeouts and 15 holds. However, with the number of quality relief options in San Diego, Hudson's role hasn't been established, which ultimately negatively impacts his fantasy outlook moving ahead.
