Daniel Hemric probably feels this could be a lot like Sonoma. Kaulig Racing was pretty slow on Saturday but the Hemric Chevy was 1.772 seconds off of the Kyle Larson pole time. Worse, for Hemric, That has been the norm as Hemric began 33rd at COTA and 34th at Sonoma. At least in California, Hemric managed to move up six spots. That is the hope he has for Sunday afternoon at the Grant Park 165. Being a couple of mph slower than the top cars cannot be good, however, for track positioning. Hemric may need a better pit strategy on Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
