8 months agoDaniel Hemric was not expecting much in qualifying on Saturday. He will start 20th on Sunday at Bristol. Hemric and the Kaulig Racing Chevy were pretty fast at times. Unfortunately, he was 24th in practice and his lap averages did not fall off till the 15-lap interval. The problem seemed to be as the laps ticked down, he started turning in more and more 16+ second laps. If the Chevy could be a hair faster in the corners, Hemric might have a pretty good car. He will start ten spots better than A.J. Allmendinger. That is a bit of a surprise for Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
