Daniel Carlson A Decent Start In Deep Fantasy Football Leagues This Week
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson has mostly done a solid job making field goals, and his offense will face one of the worst defenses in the league when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16. His accuracy on FGs under 50 yards has been impressive, though he's faltered numerous times on the long-range shots. He's made 83.6% of his field goal tries this season, though if you remove those attempts over 50 yards, he's nailed over 95% of the others. He's 95% on extra point tries as well. This week should finally see him getting more opportunities, at least in a way we can predict, so he's a decent option at kicker in deep fantasy football leagues.

Daniel Carlson Has Favorable Matchup In Week 17
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson hasn't been the most consistent option, but he could be worth a look in Week 17. Carlson has missed at least one kick in three of his last four games. Last week, Carlson made his lone extra point attempt while converting 2-of-3 field goal attempts in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The good news is that Carlson does have a favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 17. This is a contest that will be indoors against a leaky defense that should give Carlson multiple chances. That being said, Carlson is well worth a look as a streaming option for Week 17.

Daniel Carlson Makes One Long Field Goal, Has Extra Point Blocked In Week 15
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson nailed a 52-yard field goal with 11:44 left in the second quarter in his team's loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15. He didn't get another chance to kick until an extra point attempt late in the fourth quarter, but that try was blocked. That's not 100% his fault, and neither is the fact that he still barely gets chances to attempt kicks and extra points. He's still not a great option in fantasy football because the offense he's a part of simply does not get into scoring range often. Opportunity is king for kickers in fantasy football, and there just isn't enough of it. If you're on Sleeper you might be reading this, so here's a tip: the Raiders will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16, who have an awful defense, so in very deep leagues, Carlson might actually be a solid start! That's right, you finally read some good news about the Raiders kicker this season. What a miracle.

Daniel Carlson A Deep-League Option In Week 15
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson made two short field goals and an extra point attempt in Week 14 after a terrible day in Week 13 that saw him miss three long field goals. He's an accurate kicker below those long distances, but the misses lower his value ahead of a Week 15 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. LV may be missing their starting quarterback, so we don't recommend you start Carlson. He would be a good option on a better offense. Atlanta's defense isn't great, so there's some room for a good amount of field goal attempts. That's great! Really awesome. But you should roll with someone else. Better to have a kicker on a good offense without so many question marks, because that makes it easier to project more volume.

Daniel Carlson Not A Dependable Kicking Option Against Bucs
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson is coming off one of the worst performances of his career and fails to inspire confidence heading into Week 14 of the NFL season. During last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Carlson went 2-for-2 on extra points but just 1-for-4 on field goals. The three missed kicks tied a career-most for the Raiders' kicker, who hadn't previously done that since the second game of his career back in 2018. Even ignoring the misses, Carlson isn't a super dependable fantasy option as he ranks 16th in fantasy points scored among kickers this year. In Week 14, he'll face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who rank near the middle of the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to kickers. Notably, they have held their opponents to a modest 1.8 field goals per game, including just 0.2 from beyond 50 yards. In any given week, Carlson ranks as a fringe top-18 option and can be left on waivers in most leagues with 14 or fewer teams.
