D'Angelo Russell's Monster Double-Double Not Enough
6 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell filled up the box score against the Raps on Monday, but it was not enough as Kawhi Leonard nailed a game-winning jumper in the dying seconds to seal the win. Russell provided 28 points on 10 of 22 shooting and added 14 assists with seven boards while chipping in a steal. The 14 dimes were a career high for the All-Star and he is providing early-round numbers in his last five games with 23.8 points, 8.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds with 2.8 makes from three, but is shooting just 41.8% from the floor in that span. Either way, it safe to say that Russell has officially broken out this season.
