D'Angelo Russell Scores Game-High 31 Points In Losing Effort
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell scored a game-high 31 points in a 108-97 loss to the Hawks on Monday. The 24-year-old added seven assists, six triples, four steals, three boards, and a block in 32 minutes. With Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) sidelined and Malik Beasley struggling with his shot, Russell was the Wolves' offense and helped them make a late push in the fourth quarter. He is on a tear in his last three games, with averages of 27.7 points, 6.7 assists, 4.0 triples, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per contest. Russell will have to shoulder the offensive load for as long as Towns is sidelined, making him a prime DFS option. Up next is a Wednesday night clash with the Magic, a bottom-10 defensive team this season.
