D'Angelo Russell Returns With A 30-Point Effort
3 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell ended a two-game absence on Monday and crushed it against the Grizzlies in a 125-118 overtime loss with a team-high 30 points on 10-for-22 shooting. He nailed six shots from deep with 13 attempts and was a perfect 4-for-4 at the line with five rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and two turnovers in 41 minutes. Russell has struggled to stay efficient this season, but this was a good one and should lift his confidence ahead of a couple of revenge games against the Warriors and the Lakers. Golden State has looked superb defensively, so Russell will have a tough time to shine there, but in the Lakers, he'll face a team that has allowed the most points in the league per 48 minutes to opposing point guards.
