3 years agoCarolina Panthers tight end Dan Arnold totaled three receptions for 25 receiving yards in Friday's win over the Steelers. Arnold saw his first action of the preseason in the team's third and final contest, operating as a solid target in the short-yardage areas for Sam Darnold, as evidenced by his 8.3 yards per catch mark. Much has been made of the Darnold-to-Arnold connection, which could potentially be a fruitful one for fantasy purposes, as head coach Matt Rhule has offered up praise for the tight end's ability to be a third-down and red zone threat. Arnold is currently going undrafted, so it's essentially a free gamble to take a chance on the 26-year-old, who could be a solid contributor in Joe Brady's offense.--Tim Capurso
