Da'Mon Blackshear Comes Up Short In Bid For Consecutive Wins
2 years agoFighting in back-to-back weeks is a tough task for any fighter. Da'Mon Blackshear took on that challenge but fell short with a decision loss on Saturday. Though he out-struck Mario Bautista (90 significant strikes to 79) and landed more takedowns (four to two), Bautista was the more effective striker. Numbers don't always give a fighter a victory, and this is a perfect example. Blackshear should have shown fans a lot in this one, especially after coming off of a victory the previous week on the other side of the country. Blackshear should be a strong roster consideration for fantasy managers in his next outing.

Da'Mon Blackshear Stepping In On Late Notice At UFC 292
2 years agoThis fight will go really good or really bad for Da'Mon Blackshear (14-5-1) against Mario Bautista on Saturday. Blackshear is coming off of an extremely rare twister win. The problem is that his victory came one week ago on Aug. 12. If he's still riding that momentum high, Blackshear could have a massive performance. DraftKings has him listed as the big underdog with a salary of $7,100. He averages 76.7 fantasy points per contest through four UFC bouts. Bautista was originally scheduled to face Cody Garbrandt, but Blackshear is stepping in on very late notice. Blackshear could surprise many people in this performance on the pay-per-view stage.
