Damian Lillard Drops 35 Points With Five Threes
4 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard poured in 35 points in a 102-93 loss to the Lakers. Lillard added seven assists, five threes, three rebounds, and a block while draining all eight free-throw attempts in 42 minutes. The star guard came out of the gate red-hot with 15 first-quarter points but played the second half in pain after stepping on the foot of Talen Horton-Tucker. Lillard was clearly bothered by the ankle, though he never left the game, which is good because he'll get two days to rest before his next game. Lillard should be out there for Monday's game against the Hornets, who have allowed the 12th-most FanDuel points to point guards.
