Dalvin Cook Visiting Jets This Weekend
1 year agoFormer Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is flying to New York to visit with the Jets this weekend. The visit comes after quarterback Aaron Rodgers took a massive pay cut in order for the team to have more flexibility. Last season, Cook rushed 264 times for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns, adding 39 receptions for 295 yards and two receiving scores. There is reportedly real interest between the two sides, so it won't be surprising if he inevitably joins Gang Green. This is a worrisome development for the status of Breece Hall (knee) coming off a torn ACL from his rookie season. If Cook joins the backfield, he and Hall would have limited upside as a part of a committee, but both would have weekly fantasy intrigue when Hall gets back on the field. Consider Michael Carter, Zonovan Knight, and Israel Abanikanda at risk of being cut if the former Pro Bowler joins the squad.
