Dalvin Cook Runs For 78 Yards In Disappointing Loss
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was off the injury report this week and facing a Dallas Cowboys defense that gave up 101 yards to New England Patriots running back Damien Harris in their last outing. With the pre-game news that Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott would be sitting out, Cook's fantasy managers had to be expecting a big game with the Vikings potentially in the lead for most of the second half. What they got instead was a lackluster performance on both sides of the ball that saw the Vikings defense allow backup quarterback Cooper Rush to throw for 325 yards and an offensive game plan that only gave Cook 18 touches. Cook finished with 78 yards on the ground but was inexplicably out-targeted in the passing game by fullback C.J. Ham three to two. Cook and the Vikings will look to bounce back in Week 9 when they travel to the Baltimore Ravens.
