Dalvin Cook Rolls On As A Top Option
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was fed 31 touches and turned them into 130 yards and two touchdowns in a wild-card win. He travels cross country on five days rest to face the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round -- a team that ranks 11th in rush DVOA but has given up at least 100 rushing yards a whopping 12 times this season. They've only allowed seven rushing touchdowns and will be getting star linebacker Kwon Alexander (pectoral) back from injury. Few backs in the league can match Cook's gamescript-proof volume and production, and the Vikings will assuredly be looking to feature him again in this one. Though his efficiency may see a downtick, the offense revolves around Cook and he can be used as a volume-based cash and tournament DFS option.
