1 month agoDallas Cowboys running back Dalvin Cook is "ready" and "in position" to play, head coach Mike McCarthy told the media. Executive vice president Stephen Jones also noted that coaches "have been talking to us about how it's about time for him to get his opportunity" as Cook continues to impress in his role on the practice squad. The 29-year-old would offer valuable competition to a backfield struggling to get its legs in the first half of the season. While Cook might never supplant Rico Dowdle as Dallas' No. 1 running back, he could certainly earn meaningful touches starting this week against the San Francisco 49ers.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
