Dalvin Cook Looks Perfectly Healthy In Week 1
6 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook dominated Sunday's snap count, dispelling all the claims that he would be eased back into regular playing time. Cook was on the field for 57-of-71 snaps in the 24-16 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He only garnered 40 rushing yards on 16 carries, but a portion of that blame should be put onto a mediocre offensive line. Cook also lost a fumble early in the second quarter. Interestingly enough, Cook actually did most of his damage through the air, as he had 55 yards on six receptions. While Cook failed to make it into the end-zone, he still had a solid debut. It is clear that the Vikings want him to be their workhorse. Latavius Murray did not see the field during the first two series and only started getting touches once the Vikings were trying to kill the clock. The fact that Cook will unquestionably be the lead back boosts his fantasy stock and makes him a solid RB1 option going forward.
