Dalvin Cook Could See Easier Workload In Week 1
6 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will get touches in Week 1, but the amount remains to be seen. Although Cook is fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered last season, the Vikings may choose to limit Cook's workload for the first week or two. Cook is unquestionably the best running option on the Vikings and should gain bell-cow status as the season goes on. He has a good matchup against a 49ers defense that allowed the 10th most fantasy points to opposing RBs in 2017, but if he is splitting carries with Latavius Murray that hurts his upside for Week 1. He looked explosive in camp and will still be able to do damage to the 49ers, but he projects to be more of an RB2 until he regains full control of the backfield.
