2 years agoAccording to NFL insider Matt Verderame, the Cowboys are not expected to use the franchise tag on tight end Dalton Schultz. The 26-year-old had the best season of his career in 2021, prompting Dallas to tag him for nearly $11 million heading into the 2022-23 campaign. He finished last season with 57 catches for 577 yards and five touchdowns, all down from the year before. However, he's still anticipated to draw plenty of interest in the open market. It's too early to tell how things will look for Schultz from a fantasy standpoint. But no matter where he lands, he'll be one of the first tight ends taken in fantasy drafts moving toward Week 1.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
