Dallas Goedert Returns As A Solid TE1 Option
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert will make his return to the field for the first time since Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday. The absence of the 27-year-old led to an increased target share for the wide receivers rather than the pair of Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra. Goedert's return came at the right time, as starting quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) will be missing for the first time this season. The fifth-year tight end has been a favorite target for backup quarterback Gardner Minshew whenever he has had to step in for Hurts, so he should see a sizable target share in his first game in six weeks. Dallas allows the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the tight end position, and Goedert did struggle to do much of anything against them the last time they met in Week 6. However, due to a potential high target share, Goedert is a solid TE1 in Week 16.
