Dallas Goedert Likely Back To Sharing His Position
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was flying up draft boards all offseason with the news that Zach Ertz would be playing elsewhere in 2022. While the Eagles did allow Ertz to explore trade options, it seems no team was willing to take on the $8.5 million owed to the 30-year-old who just came off the worst season of his career. While it's not yet certain, reports say that Ertz has a "great chance" to remain with the team for the coming season. While Goedert should still operate as the TE1 in this offense, the presence of Ertz will get in the way of Goedert's targets, especially in the red zone. It's a slight but likely noticeable ding to Goedert's value, who should still be able to put up TE1 numbers as long as the Eagles offense is able to move the ball this season.
