4 months agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Dakota Hudson has been designated for assignment on Sunday, July 7, according to Rockies Club Information. In a corresponding move, the Rockies promoted right-handed pitcher Tanner Gordon from Triple-A. Hudson posted a poor 5.84 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, and a 46:48 BB:K ratio across 86 ⅓ innings this season. In his previous four outings, he allowed a total of 19 earned runs and 31 hits in just 18 innings. Gordon has pitched at the Triple-A level for the past two summers and has held a 5.92 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, and a 28:82 in 94 innings of play. The 26-year-old will likely take the final spot in the Colorado rotation for the time being and could have streaming appeal in favorable matchups in NL-only leagues.
