Dakota Hudson Allows One Hit In Win Thursday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Dakota Hudson was sharp in his outing Thursday as his club defeated the Diamondbacks 8-3. The right-hander surrendered just one hit and three walks over six frames of work, striking out four to improve his record to 2-1 on the year. The D'backs first hit didn't come until one out in the fifth as Hudson did struggle a bit with control by throwing 46 of his 84 pitches (54.8%) for strikes. He hasn't exactly faced the toughest of opponents through his first four starts of 2022, but his 2.75 ERA and 1.02 WHIP shouldn't be ignored by fantasy players. More could be had with his 14/9 K/BB, but Hudson still makes a viable streaming option in his next scheduled start versus the Royals next week.
