D.J. Moore Hauls In Six Passes In Week 1 Win
3 years agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore hauled in six of eight targets for 80 receiving yards while picking up 14 rushing yards on one carry in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Jets. Moore operated as Sam Darnold's favorite receiver in the final preseason game and carried that chemistry into the team's Week 1 contest- as he was the second-highest targeted pass-catcher on the team. The 24-year-old will likely share the alpha receiver role with Robby Anderson from week to week, though the former should remain at least a strong WR2 each week- with upside for more most weeks. The Saints will provide a tougher matchup in Week 2, but Moore's expected target share should keep him in the WR2 discussion.
