According to Patrick Mooney of The Athletic, the Chicago Cubs are unlikely to extend outfielder Kyle Tucker. Mooney noted that even though the Cubs were unsuccessful in their pursuit of third baseman Alex Bregman, the team's next moves are expected to be "very modest." In addition, the team is aware that Tucker will likely explore his options at the end of the season when he reaches the open market. Earlier in the offseason, the Cubs acquired the superstar in exchange for third baseman Cam Smith, infielder Isaac Paredes and right-handed pitcher Hayden Wesneski. However, the Cubs are likely to be very interested in resigned Tucker at the end of the season, especially if they make a deep postseason run. Even though he was limited by a shin contusion last season, Tucker was very productive across 78 games as he held a .289/.408/.585 line. He should be viewed as a consensus first-round selection in all formats this season, as he carries five-category upside and an elite eye at the plate.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker hit the go-ahead HR while going three-for-five with two RBI in the Cubs' 13-11 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tucker added on two runs to his box score and is now hitting for a 1.055 OPS. Acquired over the offseason through trade, the 28-year-old is proving he can continue what he was doing in Houston and is providing the Cubs with a ton of value. His 21 RBI now rank third overall in the majors, giving both Cubs fans and fantasy owners plenty of faith in the lefty when he's at the plate. His next chance to continue to fill box scores will be Saturday against DBacks starter Zac Gallen. Tucker is 5-15 with two doubles and a walk against Gallen, making him a solid target for fantasy managers and DFS players on Saturday.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Oakland Athletics. The 28-year-old plated one run, scoring thrice, walked twice and struck out once. Tucker has been white-hot at the dish to start the year, hitting a superb .353/.450/.853 with nine extra-base hits (five doubles, four HRs), one steal, and a 6:6 K:BB ratio. Furthermore, he leads the MLB with 12 hits, is tied for the league lead with 11 RBI, and places second in runs scored (9) behind Shohei Ohtani. Tucker will line up again at Sutter Health Park on Wednesday, squaring off against left-handed pitcher Jeffrey Springs in the Cubs' series finale against the A's.--Alex Ciulla

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker kept on rolling as the Cubs traveled from Phoenix to Sacramento to continue their season-opening road trip. Tucker went 4-for-7 with a pair of doubles, a home run, four runs scored, and three RBI in the Cubs' 18-run outburst against the Athletics. Time will tell if this big game indicates that Sutter Health Park will be a very hitter-friendly or if it was just that the Cubs had a great matchup against Joey Estes and the Athletics' bullpen. Either way, Tucker is off to a great start with the Cubs, with three home runs in his last three games. He has gone 10-for-31 overall this season, giving him a .323 batting average and .473 wOBA in the early going, backed up by an impressive 26.9% barrel rate, per StatCast.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker went 3-for-4 with a home run during their 4-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday evening. After tallying just two hits across his first four games of the season, the 28-year-old broke out of his slump in a big way. In the opening frame, he would hit a ground-rule double. In the third inning, he would hit a single on a soft ground ball. Then in the fifth, Tucker would hit a home run to right field, which also scored infielder Jon Berti. In the offseason, the Cubs acquired Tucker in a blockbuster trade that sent top prospect Cam Smith, infielder Isaac Paredes, and right-handed pitcher Hayden Wesneski to the Houston Astros. Tucker remains a must-start option in all formats and a top play in DFS in all matchups. He will look to stay hot on Sunday, facing Arizona left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
