3 years agoChicago Cubs catcher Jose Lobaton (shoulder) could be slated to miss extended time with a shoulder injury. In Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Lobaton took a tumble while attempting to run out a ground ball. He fell onto his shoulder and was in a great deal of pain. After the game, Cubs manager David Ross said that he feared Lobaton could have suffered a separated shoulder. If that's the case, he'll indeed be out for awhile. Lobaton is scheduled for X-rays on Wednesday. He's been the team's primary backup to Willson Contreras lately, but the team will likely need to find another backup for now.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
