Cubs Bring Up Jaime Garcia Tuesday
6 years agoThe Chicago Cubs brought up pitcher Jaime Garcia on Tuesday. They bought his contract from the Triple-A club and he joins their bullpen. Garcia has struggled this season when he was with the Blue Jays. The lefty was 3-6 with a 5.93 ERA in 25 games (13 starts). However, the Cubs may have found a role for him. Left-handed batters batted .188 against him, so despite the overall poor numbers, he could serve an important role as an arm out of the bullpen that can be brought in to face a tough left-handed batter (or a stretch of a lineup with multiple dangerous ones).
