7 years agoBruce Levine of CBS Chicago reports “the two clubs showing the most interest in Jake Arrieta are the Cubs and Cardinals, according to one industry source.” With the market moving slow this offseason, the Cubs have renewed interest in Arrieta, who is 32 and spent the past four and a half years with the club. Levine also notes the Cubs have interest in free-agent starters Yu Darvish and Alex Cobb. The Cardinals were able to steal outfielder Dexter Fowler away from their rivals last offseason and could look to do it again with Arrieta.
