3 years agoFree-agent shortstop Carlos Correa is one of the top available free agents remaining on the market and has been linked to a variety of teams. As of now, the Chicago Cubs appear to be one of the most likely landing spots for the former Astro. The Cubs were engaged in heavy dialogue with Correa prior to the lockout in early December, and the expectation is that those conversations will resume now that the lockout has ended. While Wrigley Field is certainly a favorable hitting environment, Correa would have a much inferior supporting cast in Chicago, compared with Houston.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
