The Chicago Cubs agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Jonathan Holder on Thursday on a 2021 non-guaranteed contract. The 27-year-old is 10-6 with 14 holds and a 4.38 ERA with 86 earned runs allowed in 176 2/3 innings over 157 major league games in his career, with all but two coming as a reliever. Holder has been with the Yankees from 2016 to 2020 and has averaged 8.4 strikeouts per nine innings while racking up 165 strikeouts and 53 walks in 176 2/3 frames. He went 3-0 with a 4.98 ERA in 18 relief outings (21 2/3 innings) for the Yankees in 2020, walking 11 and striking out 14. The sixth-round pick in 2014 out of Mississippi State will give the Cubs some more bullpen depth, but he's unlikely to have any fantasy appeal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
