5 years agoThe Chicago Cubs deal with free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel will be for three years with an option for a fourth year. Kimbrel will earn $10 million in 2019, and $16 million over the next two seasons with an option for $16 million in 2022 that comes with a $1 million buyout. Kimbrel looked good in a showcase recently, but the closer will likely need some minor league appearances before returning to the big leagues.
