7 years agoBoston Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel pitched a clean inning against the Cubs on Tuesday, striking out two batters and walking none. Kimbrel spent most of the offseason back home in Boston supporting his daughter and her medical concerns. Manager Alex Cora had no doubt that when the season started Kimbrel would be closing down games. Tuesday's efforts demonstrate that Kimbrel's training in Boston was enough to get him ready for the season.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
