Craig Kimbrel Records Four-Out Save In Game 1
6 years agoBoston Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel entered Game 1 in the top of the eighth inning with two outs and a 5-3 lead. He retired Andrew McCutchen to end the eighth but gave up a solo home run to Aaron Judge to lead off of the ninth inning. Clinging on to a slim 5-4 lead, Kimbrel then struck out Brett Gardner, Giancarlo Stanton, and Luke Voit in succession to close out the game. It was the second save of Kimbrel's postseason career. He is one of the absolute best closers in the entire league.
