Craig Kimbrel Records 21st Save
3 years agoChicago Cubs closer Craig Kimbrel recorded his 21st save of the season on Saturday versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kimbrel would start the inning with a walk, but then got the next three batters out with two strikeouts and a pop out. Kimbrel continues to be lights out at the end of bullpen and now owns a 0.53 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 33 2/3 innings. Kimbrel remains a trade candidate and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him dealt in the coming weeks. Kimbrel should hold value with wherever he winds up and relief pitchers Andrew Chafin and Ryan Tepera are most likely to see save chances for the Cubs if a move is made. Both Chafin and Tepera should be rostered in leagues that value holds and they are worth a speculative add with the Cubs appearing to be sellers.
