Craig Kimbrel Notches 18th Save Of Season Monday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies closer Craig Kimbrel picked up his 18th save of the season in Monday's 4-2 win over the Marlins. Kimbrel entered to pitch the bottom of the ninth up by two and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with no strikeouts. The 35-year-old veteran has been a solid fantasy contributor after a rough start to the season and has only blown one save opportunity with a 3.13 ERA and 12.72 K/9 rate. He may not be as dominant as he was earlier in his career, but Kimbrel is still producing like an upper-mid-tier fantasy option.
