5 years agoChicago Cubs reliever Craig Kimbrel is ready to join the Triple-A affiliate Iowa club on Tuesday as he continues to prepare for his major league debut. He'll get in a handful of appearances before he is ready to make his first Cubs appearance which will likely be in a little over a week. Kimbrel will immediately step into a ninth inning role making Pedro Strop droppable in all formats once this transpires. Kimbrel has been one of the top closers over the last decade recording eight-straight 30-save seasons while striking out batters at a career 41.6% rate.
