Craig Kimbrel Earns Third Save Thursday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel picked up his third save of the season Thursday, securing a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Mariners. Kimbrel once again looked solid, tossing a perfect frame with two strikeouts. That makes eight scoreless appearances in a row for the veteran closer, who has settled in nicely after a few rocky appearances to start the season. He sees his ERA drop to 4.09 and WHIP to 1.27. Kimbrel will likely continue to share the closer job with Jose Alvarado, but he still holds fantasy value and should be rostered in any leagues where saves are valuable.
