Craig Anderson Gets Back Into The Win Column
3 years agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Craig Anderson picked up his first win since Jan. 29, beating Toronto 5-1 on Wednesday with a 29-save effort. The veteran netminder was beaten by Rasmus Sandin in the middle of the first frame but went on to make 25 consecutive saves. The 40-year-old had a superb start to the season with four wins in five October outings, but he's managed to add just three more wins to his tally since then and Wednesday marked only his fourth game of the season in which he didn't give up multiple goals. Anderson's record now stands at 7-7-0 with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. He'll try to win back-to-back starts for only the second time this season Friday night against Minnesota.
