Cowboys Show Interest In Max Duggan
Max Duggan. He worked out for the Cowboys during their annual Dallas Day. Dak Prescott is locked in as the team's starter, and the Cowboys recently re-signed Cooper Rush as the backup. It hasn't stopped Dallas from looking at potential quarterbacks in the draft. Duggan was the 2022 Heisman runner-up after throwing for 3,698 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while rushing for 423 yards and nine scores over 15 games in his senior year at TCU. Duggan is a developmental quarterback who will likely be selected mid-rounds in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Chargers Sign Max Duggan To Their Active Roster
Max Duggan from their practice squad to the active 53-man roster on Tuesday, according to his agent. The move comes with starting quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) headed to Injured Reserve following season-ending surgery to fix a fractured index finger on his right hand on Tuesday. Easton Stick will take over as the Chargers' starter under center and will be making his first career start in Week 15 on Thursday night against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. As a result of Herbert's injury, the Chargers offense will be even more untrustworthy from a fantasy perspective for the final four regular season games. The 22-year-old Duggan will serve as Stick's backup.

Max Duggan Rejoins Chargers On Practice Squad
Max Duggan didn't win the No. 2 quarterback job for the organization this offseason and was released as the team cut down to 53-man rosters on Tuesday. However, Duggan signed with the Chargers to join its practice squad on Wednesday. Duggan had a spectacular final season at TCU, leading the Horned Frogs to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. He threw for 3,698 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions and was named a second-team All-American. Still, he fell to the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft and likely won't enter the fantasy radar anytime soon.

Quarterback Max Duggan Waived By The Chargers
Max Duggan is being placed on waivers after failing to earn a spot on the Los Angeles Chargers' initial 53-man roster. The seventh-round pick was beat out by veteran Easton Stick to be Justin Herbert's primary backup. The 2022 Heisman trophy runner-up appeared in two preseason games, completing six passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. If Duggan clears waivers, he'd be a strong candidate to end up on the practice squad in Los Angeles.

Max Duggan Effective On The Ground In Preseason Play
Max Duggan saw a good bit of playing time in the third preseason game and did much better on the ground than through the air. He attempted nine passes, completing four of them for a total of 15 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, he ran the ball six times for 51 yards, including a long run of 20 yards. Duggan, a seventh-round pick, looked solid with the ball in his hands in the preseason, but didn't impress much with his arm. He's a work in progress with some upside, and will almost certainly begin the season behind starter Justin Herbert and backup Easton Stick.
