Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan that the team doesn't necessarily have to draft a running back this year. "I like what we did in free agency. We don't really feel like we have to pick a position anywhere. We don't feel the need to have to reach," Jones said. Dallas let last year's starter, Rico Dowdle, walk in free agency while adding both Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders. A backfield led by Williams and Sanders in 2025 would be a step back for the Cowboys after a disappointing 2024 season that ended without a postseason appearance, so we would be surprised if Dallas didn't address their backfield in this year's draft, possibly in the second round on Friday night.
