Cowboys Add Tight End Luke Schoonmaker
2 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys selected tight end Luke Schoonmaker out of Michigan with the No. 58 overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft on Friday night. At six-foot-five, 251 pounds, he's a big-bodied target for Dak Prescott. He'll replace Dalton Schultz, who left in free agency to sign with the Texans. He'll slot in behind CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Michael Gallup, which could limit his involvement. He'll also compete with Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot, each of whom garnered Prescott's attention in the end zone last season. He's likely to be a touchdown-dependent option that is inconsistent for fantasy football.
