Could Joey Logano Be A Sneaky Tournament Play At Iowa?
6 months agoAfter qualifying for this week's Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway, Joey Logano will start 11th. Logano has no previous starts at Iowa in any previous NASCAR national series. Through 16 races so far this season, Logano has four top-10 finishes, but almost all of them came at shorter tracks or venues with comparable track conditions like Gateway. In practice, Logano ranked among the Top 10 fastest drivers in the 10 and 15 consecutive lap average categories. Due to his low Place Differential upside from his starting position, do not expect Logano to be rostered as much as other top-priced options. Based on his practice speeds and 2024 performance at shorter tracks so far, look for Logano to compete for a top-10 finish and be a sneaky tournament play.
