Could Ameer Abdullah Be Traded?
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah is entering his fourth season in the NFL. He scored the lone Lions touchdown in the preseason opener against the Raiders. However, there is talk that the team should look to trade him. General manager Bob Quinn stated the team would only dress three running backs during regular season games. The Lions drafted Kerryon Johnson in the second round, signed LeGarrette Blount this offseason and return Theo Riddick. If he doesn't stand out over the coming weeks, there is a chance that Abdullah’s situation changes completely. Right now, he is best considered a late-round flier in deep leagues, but his status is worth monitoring as the preseason winds down.
