Corey Seager To Undergo Tommy John Surgery
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery, effectively ending his 2018 season. Infielder Breyvic Valera has been recalled to take Seager's place on the roster. Seager has been battling injuries, including to his elbow, since August of last year. He started spring training late because of his right elbow and now we see how serious it truly was, despite his insistence all along that he's been fine. Chris Taylor is starting at short on Monday and will look to get the bulk of the starts moving forward. Kike Hernandez will also get some starts at the 6 as well. But this is a huge blow to Seager's fantasy owners and Dodgers fans alike. He can be dropped in single-year formats for other options up the middle.
