Corey Seager Takes Light Swings On Monday
8 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (groin) took some light swings on Monday. He underwent sports hernia surgery in January, and his status for Opening Day is in doubt. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy says he'll know more about his Opening Day status next week. The 29-year-old had an impressive 2023 season, slashing .327/.390/.623 with 33 home runs, 96 RBI, 88 runs, and two stolen bases over 536 plate appearances. He could have easily surpassed 100 runs and 100 RBI had he not missed time due to thumb and hamstring injuries. Seager has an NFBC ADP of 25, and it appears he will likely avoid the injured list, making him a top-five shortstop and a solid pick at his current ADP.
