Corey Seager Not Expected To Go On Injured List
6 months agoTexas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said he doesn't expect an injured-list stint for shortstop Corey Seager (hamstring), but he might need a couple of days to get back on the field. Seager pulled up short of first base after an RBI single in the second inning of the Rangers' series finale against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday with left-hamstring tightness and wasn't in the lineup for the series opener on Friday against the visiting San Francisco Giants. Fantasy managers should consider the two-time World Series MVP to be day-to-day and check back on Saturday to see if he's available to play against the Giants. After a slow start to the year, Seager is beginning to heat up and is now slashing .271/.360/.472 with an .832 OPS, 13 home runs, 30 RBI and 29 runs scored in 218 at-bats. He's a must-start when he's active.
