Corey Seager Hits First Home Run Of The Season Wednesday
8 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager hit his first home run of 2024 on Wednesday in a 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. It was a solo shot off of Rays starter Aaron Civale, which was the only run Civale gave up on the day. Seager is now 8-for-22 (.364) on the season, but Wednesday's homer was his first extra-base hit of the campaign. The four-time All-Star also has three RBI and four runs scored while drawing two walks to four strikeouts. If there were any concerns about his offseason sports-hernia surgery, it seems those can be put to rest. For now, he looks to be on track for another Seager-esque season, which again should be plenty productive in a potent Texas lineup.
